Despite the torrential rains that rumbled through the Cincinnati area on Wednesday, our brief flight to Atlanta departed on time and went very smoothly. A vibrant sunset finally gave way as we approached our destination, with some of us recognizing the bright lights of Managaua alongside the darkness of Lake Managua and many of us anxious to land in a city and a nation we'd be visiting for the first time. Our driver, Domingo, did not hesitate to ask for directions as we made our way to Casa San Juan, which will be our home-away-from-home until Monday morning.
