The hours spent in the air and in the airports helped our group to build community en route to Managua, and our plane settled in to Nicaragua's capitol city on time.  We settled in to Casa San Juan to rest before our first day.  Today we will be immersed into the vibrant life of the Cultural Center of Batahola Norte (CCBN).  We will meet with the staff of the Center and experience a tour of the various murals that adorn its walls.  We will accompany students in their English language classes, enjoy the hospitality of families that will host us for lunch and conversation, and learn much more about the history of the nation and its people.  The full day we have ahead of us will also involve expressing our creativity alongside the many children who come to the Center to learn and to be inspired.
